Raphael McGregor: Lap steel, guitars, production, lessons
After studying music and jazz composition at Brandeis with Bob Nieske (Jimmy Giuffre's bassist), Tony Wolff, and Tom Hall, Raphael moved to Brooklyn in 2002, where he had the good fortune to begin playing and studying with a number of world-class musicians, including Willie Nelson, Frank London, Cyro Baptista, Allessandra Beloni, Adam Levy, Lionel Loueke, Alan Harris, Mike Davis, and Brazilian percussion master Jorge Martins. As well as playing with Modiba recording artists the Nation Beat Ensemble, Raphael also performs regularly as a sideman with a number of well-respected independent acts at venues throughout the city and the country.
